Took this in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on August 16, 2009. While having some snacks at Baker's Hill, I suddenly noticed this bird perched on an electric wire just beside the road across where I was devouring my snacks. So I dropped the food, and went straight near it to get a documentary shot, but hey, it suddenly looked at me straight in the eye (or lens), and so this look was what got recorded!

Canon 50D + 100-400mm@400... 1/1000, f6.3, iso200, handheld

It looks like you were right next to the bird. In golf we would call it a gimme if you can get the ball very close to the hole. This one is a gimme, since it looks like you got very close to the bird. Well done Alain. Mabuhay.
