Congrats on another lifer and a new Philippine bird, Tina! After A. Jensen posted the ID that it was an American Wigeon ( Anas americana), I googled for pics and indeed there are subtle differences compared to the Eurasian Wigeon. This baby becomes another most wanted Candabird... ;D

Thanks a lot Romy You have to watch out for the Green Winged Teal too when you go there coz Cel was able to see one. Unfortunately for me, when we got there it was already gone

Thanks Kuya pitsew but just to make it clear ... Cel Tungol was the one who spotted it and then Alex L took photos of it. Wency and I were in Candaba that same day so when we passed by the area of Cel and Alex, I asked them what's new and that's when I learned about the American Wigeon. They were even the ones who showed it to me coz I couldn't find it because it was soooooooooo far away. Cel spotted it again and that's when I took my photos
