Fly macro with my 5D2's "comfort pixels"

If there's comfort food, there should also be "comfort pixels" - pixels that one is comfortable with, even shooting at higher ISOs. For me, it's the 5D2's 21 million photon gatherers, which I appreciate even more now after playing extensively with the 7D's tiny, noisy pixels during the past week.


Here's a macro shot from my backyard this morning.

5DM2 + 100 2.8 Macro + Sigma 1.4x TC + 37 mm ET, 140 mm, f/11, 1/10 sec, ISO 800, gear head/tripod, manual exposure in available light, near full frame cropped, processed and resized to 1500x1000
