...I'm back. Been busy. But funny thing, just outside my home office window is a big gum. Many birds come to visit. So why not dust off the old 30D and click off some frames. There are some raptors that circle the bay so I'm hoping to nab a couple for later. Sacred Kingfisher (Lifer!) 30D + 400L - 1/640s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso800 My perch (squint - it's an iphone pic)

You got the best of both worlds. You can do your work and in between do your stretches with you camera on the birds. Do it every time and we will get to see your side of the world. Nice photo. Well done Chris. Mabuhay.

Ely Teehankee - tough to get any work done! salamat. steve pryor - thanks for pointing that out. i looked again in my 'Aussie birds - Pizzey, Knight' guide and noticed that the 'blue' coloring was not as deep as i thought it was. cheers! whew, 'sacrilegious'! jonathandael - sure. i work in north ryde. been commuting from the bays up the coast lately. where are you?

Chris, Don't worry. If you have others from Oz, for which you are not sure, just upload them. I can do most aussies birds in my sleep. Just practise.
