late posts as if i've been having problems uploading and have been busy the past few days... nevertheless.... romy while waiting for mela to finish her introduction mela having a difficult time to introduce the shy romy romy finally on-stage.... ( i could hear the stage creaking from romy's buckling knees from stage fright... hahaha!) the birdman himself! (quite ironic though as you could see the outline of the camouflaged enclosure on the background on the left whilst at the same time the "earth day" banner on the right....) the gallery in awe over romy's exquisite photos romy showing off his shot of the rufuous hornbill and the black-chinned fruit dove

glad you like them tina/bobby.... ok... here goes.... i arrived early coming from lipa.... my friend directed me to a shortcut going to san pablo.... take the road going to malarayat and you're in alaminos/san pablo area in just around 20 minutes.... that eventually brought me to my decision to have late lunch in kusina salud around 1pm and just wait until 330pm for romy's talk.... and it was a blessing in disguise as the food was excellent and the place so quaint and nostalgic.... it was reminiscent of days gone by... having been partially raised in my family's previous (already sold to someone else) ancestral home in baliuag bulacan.... it was dark in the interior dining so decided to get a table right at the front.... and this is my view from my table... the stairs leads to a restricted area still used by the owners for r&r... a detailed look at the vase/bird ornaments located at the top of the stair landing....

detail of the newel post at the foot of the stairs... intricate details of the wooden archway... excellent craftsmanship that you rarely see in today's modern world... and what looks like real-deal machuca tiles...

Such a wonderful place Kusina Salud is EXCEPT that I really don't like all those caged birds all around the place. I hope they just let all those birds go free.
