Bobby Kintanar, accompanied by teLyd, who, in turn, was accompanied by Gely (her friend from Tacloban), tried their luck this morning at my backyard to shoot the Phil Cuckoo Dove. I think Bobby shot them but the doves probably sensed unfamiliar figures so decided not to sun themselves and kept well within the tree's canopy. Here's a shot of Bobby really focused on his target, oblivious to the world. Sorry for the size but I thought this photo is best appreciated big.

Bobby took so long in pinning down the dove and the oriole. Look closely. I think he fell asleep leaning on the fence post. Yeah, you captured him in dreamland alright, Ding. You are so funny- so "twitty". Thanks for the breakfast and most especially for sharing your beautiful house and your time. It was a great day! We left at about 10:30am and moved to Boso-boso. We spent 2 hours waiting for the IBKF. It showed up with the Mangrove flycatcher but only for a couple of documentary shots. By the way, the Scops owl has left the nest - maybe with its chickadee. Nowhere in sight but still could be heard at night. I notice in the picture that it's now in your garden. Aha! telyd

Bwahahahahaha!!!! My tummy is aching just looking at this scene, Ding! Your place is a birders paradise indeed! Add to that the excellent company and a breakfast that rivals the Sangri-la's buffet, and yes, it's easy to imagine this whole scenario. What's missing from the photo? 'te Lyd's chasing a butterfly with her Macro. Ahihihihihi.
Big, big thanks Ding for everything you did for us. That breakfast shoot is one of the highlights of my trip and will be well remebered. :-)

I hope you'll be able to take my photo with more birds when I invade your place. I did the same with my family group picture last Christmas, I was the only one missing.... www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2134825451&size=lwww.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2139075069&size=l Cheers, Neon
