I love the action, detail, composition, low angle and exposure of this wonderful capture. Congrats, Ely! Thank you for the honor Romy. Thank you too for the use of your magnificent workhorse the 500mm f4 which will probably be the last time that I will be using it. It is too heavy for me to carry around. But as they say never say never. I will try the 300mm that you recommended and decide afterwards. Mabuhay.

wow! and handheld too! Congrats to sir Ely! Thank you Edu but do not be misled. I was not using the 800mm which weighs 9.9 pounds. I was using the 500mm of Romy which weighs 8.5 pounds. It was definitely more manageable but still to heavy for me to be carrying around.

Thank you Toto, Rey, and Bong. It was nice for Rey, Bong, and Mando to have seen me taking the photo of this bird. I had to kneel on the road and use my elbow to support the camera. It was not easy but the effort was worth the picture taken.

Ang kawawang alipihan, naging pananghalian! Congrats sir Ely very nice shot Don't feel sorry for the centipede. I think they are poisonous. You should have seen how the Pipit fought for his meal. He was biting and backing off several times before he got the centipede on the head. It is also part of the food chain process. Thank you for your appreciation Elvin.

Big congrats Ely! Another wonderful image to add in your collection of FBPOTW! Big thank you Martin. I noticed that you have not been birding lately perhaps because of the weather. I look forward to it because there is always something interesting about it.
