Moderators and Resident Taxonomy Expert

PBPF is pleased to announce that Mr. Steve Pryor (his handle here is cuckooroller), an Italy-based bird lover and taxonomy expert who has been assisting us in bird IDs the past several years, has joined us as moderator of several forums.

Likewise, we welcome our moderators for the various boards - Tina M., Neon R., Eric P. and Bobby K, all photography enthusiasts, birders and nature lovers.

Just a note. As maybe just about no one knows - the taxonomy of Asian birds, including in the Philippines, is in a rather large upheaval in the last few years. I am slowly, real slowly because of time constraints, starting to consider the changes that could be apported to the Philippine Masterlist. The upshot is that there may be quite a few changes in the near future. The changes will include the number of total species, the number of endemics, quite a few changes in nomenclature (nomenclature = English Common Names), and changes in the generic names (in particular, in the Timaliidae - the Babblers). Lest this might cause problems for the purposes of this photography-oriented Forum - let me worry about them when they do occur in the future!
