Dear folks,
The default maximum avatar size for the forum was only 100x100 pixels. We have already hacked this limit to stretch it to a maximum of 200x200 pixels for more details to show in the avatars.
To all who are using very large avatars, please replace these with images no larger than 200 pixels in any dimension. Avatars larger than 200 pixels in width or height messes up with the format of the forum pages. We have built in an auto-resizer but sometimes this doesn't work.
After July 15, 2009, your administrator will have no recourse but to delete avatars beyond the maximum permissible size.
Thanks for your support,
Romy

Hi Romy. When I modify my Profile to add an avatar (100 x 100), my avatar does not come out. I don't know why.

Hi Romy. When I modify my Profile to add an avatar (100 x 100), my avatar does not come out. I don't know why. Regards, Ramon Hi Ramon, Romy is quite busy these days and might miss your query so I'll just answer on his behalf. The avatars are hosted photos also same as the photos you are posting here. You re-size and upload your avatar on your hosting site then copy and paste its URL to your profile. If the link is truncated it won't show. Please check the avatar's URL for some discrepancies. Cheers, Neon

Hi Neon,
I put my avatar photo in Photobucket in the same way that I put my other photos for posting in PBPF.

Ramon Hi Ramon, Can you please post your avatar's link, on your reply, the same way you are posting your photos. we'll see if it comes out then there is no apparent problem but if it doesn't then check its URL again.

Neon, have you figured out the problem with my avatar? I tested whether it will accept a PBPF sample avatar (Smiley), and it works.

Can't really figure out why your avatar is not coming out, may be you need to put some figures on the avatar width and avatar height, say 100x100, if you haven't done it yet? other than that, I'm at a lost as to why it won't come out.

Hi Ramon, I tried the your avatar URL on my own profile and it worked. You should see your owl image as my avatar on this post. I shall revert my avatar to my own image once you have checked this. Please see the image below as to how I set it for my profile. I hope this helps. Mark
