Jun, what's wrong with the tail (other than partly shadowed by the branch)?
BTW , this is a Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia)

That's what confuses me Bob.
I didn't know whether it's my poor eyesight or this Song Sparrow actually has a stripe on it's tails.
If you look at the twig. it does not follow the pattern of the branch. I couldn't figure out if it was a shadow cast or a natural stripe of the bird.
