Birdwatching Sites of the Philippines, Volume 2 project
partnership with the Department of Tourism, Recreational Outdoor Exchange and the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines
Procurement of photos for the project.
Site photos and bird photos needed from the 14 identified sites to be promoted by the DOT, as follows:
Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte
Dos Cuernos (Hamut Camp), Cagayan Province
Mt Polis, Ifugao
Lake Danao, Taytay, Palawan
Sablayan, Mindoro Occidental
Mt. Makiling, Laguna
Bicol River Delta, Camarines Sur
Mt Canlaon, Negros Occidental
Rajah Sikatuna National Park, Bohol
Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao, Negros Oriental
Sohoton Natural Bridge National Park, Samar
Pasonanca Natural Park, Zamboanga
Mt. Kitanglad, Bukidnon
Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, Agusan del Sur
The birdlist is still being finalized and will be released soon.
Schedule:
Submissions for consideration shall adhere to the following specs:
-72 dpi jpegs @ 9 inches width, filenamed according to the common name of species or name of site.
Please put the name of the photographer and list of site and bird photos included inside the CD.
Deadline for submission is Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
DVDs or CDs are to be delivered at the first floor counter of ROX, Building 1, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City Taguig. Attention to Ms Macel Abejero, 0921-3434708
Submissions for final inclusion:
-300 dpi tiffs @ 6 inches width
Upon notification, by May 20 (Wednesday) or 21 (Thursday), high-res files are required to be delivered by May 25, (Thursday).
It is assumed that the photographer will submit publication quality images. Images that will require major post-processing shall be rejected.

Project Disclosures:
Aside from the guidebook, collateral materials shall be produced solely for its promotion and marketing, which may include brochures, posters, banners, streamers, booths etc. The price paid assumes the copyright owner's consent of such usage for a period not exceeding two years from the book launch date.
The producers of the book will print an initial run of 5,000 copies and reserve the right to reprint up to 15,000 copies more during the aforementioned two-year period.
The first run of the publication are to be given away for free while the next run/s will be for sale with a portion of the royalties going to the WBCP

Payment shall be made within 90 days of book launch on August 21, 2009.
Site photos will be priced at P 4000.00.
Commonly photographed birds will be priced at P 7000.00
Uncommon/rare bird will be priced at P 10,000.00
Notes:
1) The birds do not require to have been captured in situ among the listed sites, they are acceptable as long as they do not seem obviously out of place.
2) Flock shots (defined as shots having 10 or more birds) are considered as site shots.
3) The complete bird list will be sent soon. Please be ready with your photos.
