There's a fun thread running at FM on this, let me quote the TS: Hi, welcome to the "You know your lens is sharp when..." game! Haven't seen a thread similar to this yet.. If it is against any of the forum rules just let me know.
The objective of this thread is to post a statement indicating how sharp your Canon [Nikon] (or any third party) lens is. The statements can be factual or made up. No images please! I know a lot of you are pixel peepers so this thread is for you all.Ref. - www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/753545/0Considering that it's currently overcast/rainy over Metro Manila, looks like we can have some fun too. Photos are allowed to be posted this time. ;D

Let me fire the first salvo. ;D ;D When you put a 2x TC on your long zoom, look at a 400% crop of the feather detail, and start to notice this interesting sequence.

Wooohaaa!! is that how the DNA sequence of the IBKF looks like!!! That's one really sharp lens!! Hehehehehe. Here's how sharp mine is....when you stacked 2x and 1.4x TC on a sigma 150-500 @ 1400 mm and notice the insects hanging on the upper right of the owl is a male and the one at the bottom is a female.

My Photoshop's USM dialog gave me this... It's probably just a bug, though. ;D

I guess when the Master had had enough of those bird videography, his next venture will be DNA photography. DNA HD videography, Eric..... I might buy an adapter for reversing my Sigmonster, so next time I see Plain Idol, I can film her DNA. I've always wondered if bird magnetism is an acquired trait or genetic in nature. ;D

Hehehe..... just a thought, when Mark sires some sons (new Mark models), he can name them Mark Mark II, Mark Mark III..... and so on.... the shorthand will be Mark2 II, Mark 2 III, etc. ;D

Interesting suggestion, Ka Mastah. I might just consider that... years from now... and then I can tell him his name is courtesy of the legendary Tamer of Sigmonster himself. ;D
