fisheye lens that is! ;D It was raining late afternoon yesterday. On my way home (after picking up my daughter), the sun suddenly peeked below the clouds before it sets. This only means one thing ... rainbow! I'm really knocking my head real hard for not bringing my gear. I only have a few minutes left before it's totally gone. Fortunately, there's no traffic so we reached home in a few minutes, but the rainbow is really fading fast. I grabbed my camera and put the 10.5 f/2.8 fisheye lens, as I thought my wide angle won't be enough. Taken in the front yard. Pardon the smudges, as the front element got wet as I pointed the camera upwards: Nikon D300, 10.5 f/2.8G fisheye, 1/40s, F/8, ISO 800 Wiped the lens with my hanky (oh no!), and moved inside the garage ... the rainbow is almost gone ..... : Nikon D300, 10.5 f/2.8G fisheye, 1/8s, F/11, ISO 800 Pardon the garbage cans, as I didn't have any time to stow them out of the way.

Very nice, Ted. Thanks for sharing. The morale of the story: Always bring your gear with you, and lenses both the tele and wide (or fishy). ;D

Hi Toto.
If you have DX camera, this is a fun lens to have. I bought it used from craigslist. Got it for a real bargain. I have lots of projects in mind with this lens ... bit don't have time yet. I'm planning to buy the PS plugin, hemi, to defish the image. Quite cool, it makes an instant ultra-wide rectilinear image .
And yeah, didn't bracket as:1) it's handheld, 2) don't have time to set it up, 3) and I don't exactly know how to do it in my D300 (lol). Read the manual ... but I just prayed I can just do it in PP (pseudo HDR). But it turned out none of them are keepers. Just shared the images with you guys.

There's a forecast that it's going to rain (and it did). And if ever I have my gear with me, chances are the fisheye is not in the bag (my new 105mm macro lens took it's spot). I have my kit lens in it that can go down as wide as 18mm, but it ain't no fun. ;D

Hello, actually is its a double rainbow, you may be able to tweak the pic to show the one on top too.
I had one like this taken at La Trinidad, Benguet a few years back. I have regular shots but shifted also to stitch assist mode but in my excitement should have taken a portrait orientation rather than a landscape while my camera was on stitch mode.
