Just bought a used D200 as backup body for wide/short telezoom everytime i go out using the Sigma 150-500mm. Got lucky to have a subject (Racing Pigeon?) patient enough to pose while I swap the lens from one body to another. I am quite happy to know that the used D200 I got wasn't a lemon. Or is it? ;D Pigeon / D200 Pigeon / D300

Hard to tell from just 2 photos my friend. Try to shoot a static subject with fine details (paper money is good) and shoot using the same lens and the same distance in manual mode at varying apertures. Use a tripod of course. This will tell you how good your D200's focus and exposure is compared to your D300. :-)

I believe the D300 is sharper
