As of 10:30 am January 3rd, my HDV of a Yellow-vented Bulbul gets tons more hits than those of the exotics in my XR channel. exposureroom.com/members/RomyOcon.aspx/videos/1. YVB - 2565 views, uploaded 2 days ago 2. Coleto - 220 views, uploaded 7 days ago 3. Villa Escudero birds, including the IBKF & Phil. Woodpecker - 1111 views, uploaded 18 days ago HD Video is tougher to capture (and needs a whole new set of capture/processing workflow), but even ordinary birds can be sellable, and everything is a lifer for me anew. I bet nice videos of the ET Sparrow will get good hits as well.

The HD video really stands out from the standard def captures of the other samples. I'm really surprised at the IQ of the stacked converters with the Sigmonster. I can't wait to get my hands on the 5d2! The workflow scares me but your images make me agree that the steep learning curve is well worth it. Salamat Mastah!

Hi Ka Romy, You should visit the Tadlac Lake and video the bee eater's haven close to Pansol where there used to be a shooting range (or it still there?). I hope the bee-eaters' nests are still intact. I heard before that the owner of the property wants to level off the twin hills where the bee eaters are nesting. telyd

hey romy... check out this report in luminous landscape.... www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/5dmkiivid_cs.shtmlhere's the excerpt i wanted to warn you about if you're not aware of it yet.... "Sad to say, this story was truncated prematurely: the 5Dii 'died' in the field after moisture exposure. I was not the only one to have similar moisture–related problems on our Antarctica trip. Out of 26 5Dii's on Michael's Antarctic expedition, fully 25% failed. The camera is certainly not waterproof. Canon says just that in the manual. But it would be good if it were moisture–proof or even resistant. It does not appear to be. "

Curiously, it was raining cats and dogs when I was imaging this footage of the IBKF with a pre-prod unit. I was using a Sigmonster + 2x TC (which isn't moisture resistant) so I wrapped the lens with a plastic bag. The 5D2 was partially covered, but it got a lot of splashes because I've to uncover its plastic bag protection when I was shooting. I returned the pre-prod unit to Canon working as good as when I received it.
