I finally got my 5D2 this afternoon, and fortunately the skies were clear over Manila this evening, allowing me to try the 5D2 video at the full moon. This footage was taken with the 5DM2 + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG) + Canon 2x TC, 1600 mm, aperture was forced to f/18. Support was Manfrotto 475B tripod + 3421 gimbal head. A bit cropped and speed was increased to 600% of normal. Link to HD version - www.vimeo.com/2505289Romy

Wooohooo! Congrats Ka Romy.
Very nice. Can't wait to see your collection of bird videos, in HD!
I can think of another application of that rig. Maybe for celebs? You don't need to get near to get an in-your-face paparazzi type of shots. Add video, and you'll get an exclusive coverage. Lol. Sorry. The naughtiness in me is showing up. ;D But seriously, there's got to be a money-making niche for that.
*edit* I just realized it's the perigee for this year. If I'm brave enough to weather the freezing temp, I'll try to capture some moon shots. (not expecting any moon features since its full moon)

The moon has not changed. The face and the butterfly relics are still visible. Perhaps the moon does not have earthquakes or mining explorations . Good for the moon! Reminds me of the song I sung to my kids when they were growing up. Whenever we looked up to a bright moon... we sing "I see the moon and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me!" It is only through the Ka Mastah's capture that I discovered there is a face and a butterfly there. Had I seen it up close before, I would have :)ed like the moon. Happy, lyd PS. I have been watching the moon for the past couple of days from a mysterious hazy appearance to a bright glorious one rejoicing in the celebration of JESUS's birth, the Lord, the Creator, the Saviour. The moon is not out of focus.
