I checked out the Coastal Lagoon at Manila Bay yesterday (October 27th) to see if the migratory water birds are already around in large numbers. I didn't see many of these... perhaps their number will increase in the coming weeks. No idea on the ID of these ones, anyone recognize them? 40D + 500 f4 IS, 1/2000 sec, f/5.6, ISO 320, 475B/3421 support:

So the migrants have definitely arrived!! Nice catch Ka Mastah!!Looks like one of the stints species but hard to say which, a dorsal BIF shot would have help a lot in IDing this type of birds, but then who would be able to get a dorsal shot ;D.

Thanks, Neon and Prof. Jerry.... I consulted Des Allen and Tim Fisher and they both went for Asian Golden-Plover ( Pluvialis fulva).
