there are about 5-7 egrets at hardin since last week. this morning i've seen one chasing another around the ricefields. for comparison, here's what i think to be a cattle egret, some of my other shots show brown-orange in its forehead. usually in a group. and here's the one being chased around. the bird is larger and its neck is longer and more crooked. no orange color in its forehead. it is alone. thanks.

The second one is an intermediate egret, and agree that the first one is a cattle egret.
