On my way back to freedom I had a stop over in Broome, WA, Australia for several hours. Here's one of the bird I was lucky to have bumped across in this small seaside town of 14,000 people near the Kimberly region of Western Australia. Crested Pigeon ( Ocyphaps lophotes) - July 3, 2008 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC (420mm), f5.6, 1/1000, ISO 200, Handheld, Manual Exposure, Raw capture.

Thanks Nestor and Martin!! Here's another Raptor which is also ranging in the Philippines. The Mastah and I got photos of the same species at Lake Malassi in Cabagan, Isabela more than a year ago. Black-Shouldered Kite ( Elanus axillaris) 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC (420mm), f5.6, 1/1600, ISO 200, Handheld, Manual Exposure, Raw capture.

A Black Currawong ( Strepera fuliginosa) harassing a Nankeen Kestrel ( Falco cenchroides) 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC (420mm), f8, 1/400, ISO 200, Handheld, Manual Exposure, Raw capture.

great shots neon, i've heard that broome is a good place for birding and seascapes....they told me that black kites there are like seagulls, they are everywhere cheers
