A Photo-A-Day keeps the batteries always freshly charged, the camera/lens/shutter finger mechanicals in good operating order, and the nut behind the viewfinder in a perpetual state of blissful photo-insanity. ;D 40D + 100 2.8 USM macro, f/6.3, 1/50 sec, ISO 640, manual exposure in available light (no flash), AI servo, tripod/ball head:

Wow!! Ka Mastah!! you were so brave to get this close to a "putakte" Paper wasp!!! The CO2 on your breath would have sent them attacking, I guess you weren't breathing when you took this shot

I have so much skin real estate in the head area, presenting a larger target, that if I knew these things sting, I'd have used a Sigmonster + 2x TC! ;D
