Got this babbler at Surigao Sur. I was able to do a quick check with propjerry's Kennedy just yesterday and my closest guess is that of a Pygmy Babbler. Unfortunately this is the only shot (the next one was of a bare branch ;D) If I'm right, this is another addition to the catalog. Or it could be a brown-tit babbler. Aargh, can't wait to get my own Kennedy

Yes, I think it's a Pygmy Babbler (Stachyris plateni) race plateni Will wait for ID confirmation from the experts. In the meantime I'll just add it to the database and if it is wrong will take it out.
This will make our count to 322 out of 614 that's 52% of all known species in the Philippines.
