I've seen Attenborough's "Life of Birds" and was amazed by the lyrebird's great mimicry but I don't remember that part. Don't know if it's a hoax. I do remember the camera click, camera motor, chainsaws to name a few but not those shown in the link. Somebody confirm or correct me? I do concur that they lyrebird is a great mimic, so it's also possible that it can really mimic those sounds.

That video JP linked is a parody, they dubbed it. It's funny though. Oh, I think the original Attenborough's original episode is in youtube, search for it. BTW, I went to San Jose last weekend to attend the PAUSA (Pangilenians) picnic, I met a lot of people I've never met before, except for the people from Sacramento, San Fran, and the LA area I'm already familiar with.

That's great Ted! Must have been a wonderful picnic. I imagine that almost everyone, specially the oldies, are speaking in Tagalog complete with the Pangilenian's "punto" (accent). Hehehe....
