Ever got into a poetic mood? With a hurting back and lots of just-loafing-around time, got me some poison (amber-colored-firewater!) and put on some Bach and recalled some old poems. Saddest and beautiful one I got to was William Wordsworth's "Lucy". It's a long poem of, I think, five parts. But he should've just stuck to one: the second part. Makapunit-puso (heart-rending). I'll probably regret posting this when I'm sober. Lucy (part II) by: William Wordsworth (1770-1850)
She dwelt among the untrodden ways Beside the springs of Dove, A Maid whom there were none to praise And very few to love: A violet by a mossy stone Half hidden from the eye! Fair as a star, when only one Is shining in the sky. She lived unknown, and few could know When Lucy ceased to be; But she is in her grave, and oh, The difference to me!

Hear, Hear, Ding. Leave it to Wordsworth to pay tribute to someone who is as "fair as a star when only one is shining in the sky". Here's to the Lucys of the world...may you be noticed and find the love you need.
