I know the colors are a bit over saturated but can somebody tell me if this is their normal color or is this their breeding plumage? I noticed that the plumage and the color is very different from my other captures. Purple Heron  Thanks guys, I will really appreciate your answers.  |

An Ube Heron!
(Oops. To the non-Filipino speaking people: Ube is a root crop of the same color as the violet of this bird).

Can't help on the color, but whatever it is, it looks like a result of oversaturation and a "too cold" WB. When converting, you can use the click tool to set WB - just click on a neutral colored area (black, white or gray). In this case, the crown is supposed to be black, so you can use that.

Great shot, Rey. Whatever the color, your shot is certainly the most colorful heron I've seen.
