Yes, it certainly looks like a female Pied bushchat to me, Raul. I also fixed your link so it will show. If you're curious on how to embed your pic, just press "quote" on your original post and the fixed link will show. Romy

I saw this other female PB on the way to Tanay yesterday, and it looked the same as the one in your gallery. i got confused with the one on top because of the breast plumage.

Hi Raul, Here's how the link looks: [_img]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2419/2175007804_d52a5019c6.jpg[/_img] Just remove the underscore ( _ ) before the img at the start and end of the link and it's armed, then the pic will show. Will fix the link to your new pic...

The KG says " the immature looks like female, but.... appears spotted". I'd say your pic in the original post is a sub-adult female (the spots aren't totally molted out yet). Let's wait for Steve for a more technically accurate description.... I saw this other female PB on the way to Tanay yesterday, and it looked the same as the one in your gallery. i got confused with the one on top because of the breast plumage.

This is a question - that about the spotting etc., that I will devolve to the Urquhart (the author of the Stonechats monograph) later tonight. Certainly they are Pied Bushchats - all in this thread

Ate Lyds,
It's not tied. but it was not that fearful of people, i got as close as about 6 meters.
