In an almost two hectares of land lying by a river bank here, the crack of dawn offers a melodious harmony of birds; thousands dot the skies also during sunsets, a pleasure for bird watchers. large heron on top of the tree Bird species such as the intermediate egret, great egret and rufus night heron have been monitored in the farm, said Romeo Jacobo, Sr., one of the four wildlife wardens paid by the city government to take care of the bird habitat. The city government declared Baras a bird sanctuary on Aug. 7, 2002.
The birds hunt for food, particularly fishes, in Liguasan marsh, Lake Buluan and Lake Sebu. Liguasan and Lake Buluan straddle part of North Cotabato and Maguindanao while Lake Sebu is in South Cotabato. The birds were also monitored as hunting food in the remote coastal town of Lebak in Sultan Kudarat.

Hello and Maayong Adlaw PBPF!
My boss and I are inspired by the works of Sir Romy and Sir Ely. My name is Jeniel "Borgz" Buday, live in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, a 45 minutes drive from Gensan City.
Its really great capturing those birds, and eventually our Region (SOKCSARGEN) has plenty site for Birding. The Baras Bird Sanctuary located in Tacurong City (35minutes drive away from my town) has lot to offer for Bird Mania, more than 30,000 Migratory Birds nesting in almost 2 hectares of Paminta Plantation. Egrets and Herons are very visible for just a meter away from the walkway around the sanctuary.
The Municipality of Lake Sebu also has much Bird Species to offer. From Migratory Birds to Mountain Birds are most habitat to these Lake that found in the mountain top (4000ft ASL). it has a bird sighting area where you can find Phil. Eagle and Hornbills and Mountain Shirke and its reported according to local tourism office that they recorded in the area approx 150 birds species. (Where Planning to soon to visit this place with my boss in march, an hour drive away from Koronadal city)
We want to share also those inhabitant birds in our region, but sadly where not an expert to determine to ID's those birds, i want to post in this site but i dont have any idea yet on how to post in this site. For the meantime i posted our captive pix at my facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000710268689).
Hoping from your help soon...
Thank you so much for accepting my application here as one of your member!
Mabuhay PBPF!
