Hi All, Kit here. ;D I recently got back to photography and want to learn more about Avian Photography. And what better place to be than our own? Hunting is illegal in the UAE and I want to document what I call our "Urban" birds here in Dubai...There are birds EVERYWHERE! I see quails running around 5 meters from places where I wait for cabs...and this is right smack in the middle of the business district! I find that amazing! Earlier today, I was 7 feet away (got to within 4 feet at one time) I saw a pair of pigeons...if it wasn't for the wind, I could have grabbed both of them. There are more than 600 birds around Dubai and the UAE in general, from what information I can pull from online resources, that's not with the rare ones. (687 or something like that) Anyway, I'm excited to be here and thank you very much for answering my email Romy. Looking forward to learning a lot here. And guys, I will be posting a lot of pictures for identification, Hope you wont mind. I can open a separate thread for this, or something. Oh, I'm an angler as well. Kit

Would love to see the type of birds you have around there, I'm curious as well.
