Well, my D500 is back from hospital and I brought it to the small swampy area in Mandaue City for a spin. I only saw 4 species today, but managed to capture only two of them, the Long-tailed Shrike and the usual Striated Grassbird. The Cisticolas were very evasive and the Reed Warbler was also very quick to hide, but at least I get to post something for the New Year: Long-tailed Shrike: Nikon D500 with Nikkor 200-500; f/5.6 Zoom; f/5.6; Tv- 1/1600; ISO 220; Hand-held from car window; No flash Long-tailed Shrike @ Mandaue Swamp by Grandpa@50, on Flickr f/5.6 Zoom; f/5.6; Tv- 1/1600; ISO 560; Hand-held from car window; No flash Striated Grassbrd by Grandpa@50, on Flickr Happy New Year everyone!

Superb set from your new gear, Ka Bobby! No matter which pots and pans are used, a master chef always whips out a treat.

Congratulations, D500 come back from hospital. We didn't go birding for a long time so we can go now? Very sharp, all nice photos.

Thanks Godski! Let me know next time you are in Cebu - want you to try out the Tamron 150-600 G2 which I am not using at this time. :-)
