Our team, Doc Louie Co, Tateo, and yours truly pushed though with our plan to visit Negros for some serious birding. The Dynamic Duo of Godo J. and Lisa P. were ever so kind and brought us to a place there where we had all the opportunities to shoot the Southern Indigo-banded Kingfisher, but the light under the canopy was so low, I had to shoot at 1/15 of a second using only a monopod for support; lesson learned. ALWAYS Bring a tripod when on forest-bird sorties!

I had better luck with the Male Spotted Wood Kingfisher where the quality of the light was better, but not by much. Shooting info: EOS 80D with the Tamron G2; ƒ/6.3; 600.0 mm; 1/20; ISO 1600; Monopod; No flash:
