I was about to call it a day and was just talking to the locals that's passing along the road where I setup my gear when this bird suddenly perched on an open branch just in front of me and just above the shadow cast of the setting sun. Time stamp in the exif data was 17:21:11. Philippine Hawk-Eagle - Male on top ( Nisaetus philippensis). Wow, great details of an endemic raptor in sweet golden light... awesome shot, Neon!
The talons are amazingly long, perfect tools to grab and hold prey.
