I know this camera is good for landscape but I tried for birding. I am happy with the result because lighting is good and with a big bird as subject. I think this camera is good for shorebirds but I don't know yet for forest birds. Wow, so you gave in to the temptation and got the current megapixel king, Tateo-san?
Great detail on these, and excellent exposure of the highlights! Looking forward to more images from your 5DSR and your impressions.

Thank you very much Romy for your comments. This camera have many function so I'm still trying to learn. The challenge is how to get quite close to the bird so 700 mm can fill much of the frame, and that will maximize the captured detail using a full frame sensor. I've noticed that of late, I've become partial to my 5D3 (over my 1D4 and 7D) because I'm trying to show more of the environment for cropping/composition flexibility in post process. In the rare times when the 5D3 shot is already well composed without the need for cropping, I feel like I won the lotto.
