This year we have been photographing a lot of owls. Owls are always the greatest thrill for me. This owl, the Mantanani Scops Owl was taken in Tablas Island, Romblon. There are four races of this species in the Philippines. So far we have only seen and photographed romblonis in Tablas and mantananensis in Palawan.
