There's a small place in Mandaue City with many terns and swifts / swiftlets flying around most of the time. Pigeons and Doves also frequent the place, and even Javan Pond Herons, Egrets and Bitterns, among others can be seen there. They are however quite difficult to get close to because of a pond at the location. Here are some shots I got from there recently: Composite shot Glossy Swiftlet (Collocalia esculenta marginata)Glossy Swiftlet (Record Shots Only) by Grandpa@50, on Flickr This is a composite of three shots: L- Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica) C- Asian Palm Swift (Cypsiurus balasiensis) R- Red-rumped Swallow (Hirundo daurica)A Swift and Swallows by Grandpa@50, on Flickr Zebra Dove in FlightZebra Dove in Flight by Grandpa@50, on Flickr Red-rumped Swallow (Hirundo daurica)Red-rumped Swallow by Grandpa@50, on Flickr All were shot with the 7DMk2 and EF-400mm lens combo. Handheld in available light. I'll try to get better shots of the flyers soon!

My long time wish, take BIFs like you and all the others. Nice harvest. Enviable composite. The red-rumped in the Philippines is now a split, Cecropis striolata striolata, striated swallow. Cheers!
