The Chinese Egret (Egretta eulophotes) is a rare but consistent visitor of the Olango Bird Sanctuary. Osawa and I were quite lucky to have one of them come near enough for some decent pictures. We counted only 5 birds during our recent visit. Here, the egret snares a Blow Fish and ultimately rejects it for some far safer delicacies:ƒ/6.3 @ 600.0 mm; 1/2000; ISO 320 7D2 with Sigma 150-600 Sports Lens: Chinese Egret by Grandpa@50, on Flickr The classic Chinese Egret Shot:ƒ/7.1 @ 600.0 mm; 1/2000; ISO 320 7D2 with Sigma 150-600 Sports Lens: Chinese Egret by Grandpa@50, on Flickr Look up Ka Romy's in-flight shot of this bird for a jaw-dropping experience! Unmistakably Chinese egret! Congratulations! Maybe, one day, we should come up with an album dedicated to this bird... Congratulations, Bobby!

Love the low angle, details and colors on these Bobby. Your new lens really rocks!

Your choice of the Canon 7DII gives you a 960mm reach which is more than the 800mm that I am using. Well done Bobby, & Mabuhay.
