I am spending most of my time in Batangas. I am finally finding the time to photograph the birds we have in the area. This bird was gripping the branch with one leg, in an unusual Karate Kid pose. Wow.... that pose is a killer, Tonji!
Love the fine detail on the whites and the creamy BG. Have you shot some frames with a 2x or stacked 2x + 1.4x?

Hi Romy, I have shot with a 2x on the 600mm. AF is slower.
That bird held that pose for the longest time. It was so unusual. Join us in Batangas when you are finally free.

Beautiful shot of the Grass Owl, Tonji. This is the first time I see the Grass Owl perched in this forum.

Romy game! Glad to have you back!
Tateo I have seen them standing half hidden in the grass. But usually they hide very well during the day and are impossible to see. I have also seen one perched at night. This was just a lucky encounter.
