Lagen Island had more birds than I expected and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. A lifer for me was the Slender-billed Crow (Corvus enca) 13 1/2 inches smaller than the Large-billed Crow (Corvus macrorhynchos) 18 1/2 inches. It was almost 6:00 PM and the sun has started to set, when a pair of noisy birds arrived and perch on a tree near the pool some 20 meters from me. It turned out to be the Slender-billed Crow and it was out in the open. What a stroke of luck, soft light, open shot, and a lifer.
