So I got back into birding. Actually, I was more like egged into it by fellow birdnuts Tonji and Mike. How "lucky" am I to have these nuts as good friends. I went back to my favorite birding training ground to test my new gear and try to get my bearings straight again. Being a Nikon user before, I started out slow, recalling how exhilarating and FRUSTRATING this hobby of ours is. Although I'm not yet back to my old self, I was able to salvage a "catch" at the end of the sortie. I need to re-learn my ninja skills. I would be happy with a shot like this. Nice pose, beak slightly open as if trying to whisper something to you, catch light with two tone color of the eyes, and razor sharp. Well done Martin & Mabuhay.
