Immature Red-bellied Pitta at LMEP 1dm4, EF500 + 1.4x TC, ISO1600, f5.6, 1/15, tripod It could have been perfect if it turned its head a bit to the left. Here is the frontal shot, the DOF though is very shallow.

It is still a very good picture. Did you get to see both of them? Well done William & Mabuhay.

Unique coloration before adult plumage. Wonderful shot doc. Wish I have a shot like this to add to my collection. Again, I wish I can fly to LMEP ...

I went to LMEP for the second time today to try to get these immature RBPs - but no luck. I did see a big housecat roaming the area, which makes me worry for the Pittas and Ashy Ground Thrushes.
