I cannot thank Prof. Tirso enough for making a six year dream come true... To get wonderful shots of the Purple Throated Sunbird. I have taken so many photos of this bird over the years and yet every single one hasn't really made me proud until l was given the opportunity to take photos of the bird with Prof. Tirso last Tuesday. Thank you again oh so much Prof. Tirso for allowing me to shoot with you and for feeding me. I will never forget that day. Purple Throated SunbirdPlus the other birds taken inside IRRI ... I like that bird too. What time were these pictures taken? It is best when the early morning sun can shine on him. Well done Tina & Mabuhay.

Thank you guys oh so much for the very kind words :-)
Ely, I think I took photos of the sunbird somewhere around lunch. I am really very happy with this one already. Prop Tirso and Mike both have excellent photos of the purple throated sunbird with the sun shinning down on it :-) Just wait till you see their photos.

Beautiful set indeed Tina!! Each picture has something special going on .. the iridescence of the Purple-throated, super clean shot of the Zitting, reflection on the sandpiper, the beautiful perch of the munia, then the water drops of the plover! Nice!!
