Yesterday, I was in deep forest in Samar Island Nature Park, San Rafael, Samar shooting at small birds 30+ meters up in the forest canopy. There seemed to be a mixed flock of fast-moving birds including a bluish Monarch. Then I saw a small bird about 25-30 meters up that was the size of a flycatcher but had similar colorations as a Golden-Bellied Flyeater, but I was sure it was not a GBFE. It was bigger and chunkier, and had a white throat. GBFEs have a yellow throat and are found in open country and not deep forest. ID please. Canon 1D Mark IV camera, 800 mm lens, 1.4x extender, tripod. F/8, ISO-3200, 1/200 second, manual exposure.

WOW! That's great, thanks, Bob! I have been wanting to capture a YBW since you got one in Siquijor. I don't know why I didn't think of a YBW, probably because I only saw the butt end and I did not see how long its body was. This is a lifer for me! ;D
