Awesome captures. Looks like you had a wonderful birding day in spite of the rains. Odd looking munias. My first time to see them with feathers like those. I wonder if they were caught and colored then escaped so now the rain is washing away some of the colors.

The feathers are doing very well in repelling the rain from soaking the spotted dove. The bird probably did some preening earlier. Nice shot of the accumulated rain drops on its back. Do you think the munias are molting? It sure feels good to be able to do some birding even if its raining.

I was hoping to catch the Black-shouldered Kite and the Pied Harrier who frequent the area. I think the munia is molting, like what Sir Ely is saying...

Thank's sir Mike and Tateo. I agree; the rain adds drama, making even "ordinary" birds look interesting. Besides, I wanted to see what birds do when it's raining.
