It was good to go back to Bohol. The Philippine Frogmouth was the star of the trip. But it was also nice to be able to see the Philippine Trogon (Harpactes ardens). Although they were mostly more than 20 meters it was still good to be able to see them. Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, Canon EF 800mm f5.6L IS USM, Gitzo GT3530LS tripod, M-3.6 Mongoose Gimbal Action Head. Nice set, Ely, of one of my favorite Philippine birds. Thank you Ramon. It is also one of my favorite but never had the opportunity to get close to it. Tirso's pictures of this bird is a lot closer and better. I will have to shake his hands next time I see him and see if some of his luck on this bird will come to me. LOL.
