Hi Guys, to prove than I am alive and well, but just been busy. I will post my happy captures for today at LMEP. I was so happy to see the Ashy ground-thrush and Red-Bellied Pitta, please bear with me and not mind that this is a "me too" post. Also had a chance to test the nex 7 with the Canon 300 FD under the poor lighting condition of the area. Ashy Ground-Thrush (Zoothera cinerea), uncommon endemic bird, La Mesa Eco Park, Nex 7 Canon FD 300 mm 2.8L with Canon FD 1.4 TC on Benro Tripod, Natural light, iso 1600 F 3 1/60 +0.3 EV Red-Bellied Pitta (Pitta erythrogaster) common but inconspicuous, Resident Bird, La mesa Eco Park Nex 7 Canon FD 300 mm 2.8L with Canon FD 1.4 TC on Benro Tripod, Natural light, iso 1600 F3 1/30 +0.3 EV another view of the RBP same specs Cheers to all Chito

Hi Chito. Very nice captures. Buti pa ikaw you were able to take photos of the red bellied pitta. I was able to see it lots of times when we were there but couldn't seem to take a picture kasi it's always on the move - HEHEHEHE

Beautiful captures Doc Chito. Got to have a "me too" pic of the pitta sometime soon. Btw I haven't seen your Olango and Bohol album as yet. I'm sure you had great pictures.

Welcome back to the Forum. It is good to see that the Ashy Ground-thrush is still there. I did not see the Red-bellied Pitta on my last trip but it is certainly good to see it from your photos. It has grown up to be a round and plumb bird. So nice to see her dressed so pretty & bright. Well done Chito & Mabuhay.

Great "return of the comeback" photos, Doc! The NEX-7 is a sweet camera - even at ISO1600, details are still there. :-)
