Was finally able to go out and shoot some more of the farm's birds: M Mode 1/800s @f/6.3, ISO 800 Car window support Richard's Pipit (?) The wind was blowing and for a second I thought this bird had a crest!

These are the first photos that I have seen of a Barred Rail of this age. It is interesting to see how the facial pattern develops.

These are the first photos that I have seen of a Barred Rail of this age. It is interesting to see how the facial pattern develops. I hope to be able to photograph the transition. I'm thinking about putting up an observation hide in the area.
