All these photos were taken during the holy week break. This was part of my holy week sacrifice - staying under the super hot sun while taking photos of birds ;D ;D Wency and I were lucky coz there were a lot of fruiting trees in Subic that were just in the same area so the birds kept going back and forth from one tree to the other. Blue-naped Parrot5Dmk3 + 500mm f/4 ; f/5 ; ISO 640 ; 1/500 ; a very special tripod - Wency supported my lens with his 2 hands coz the bird was feeding on a tree that was at his side of the car. Never thought that the Wency tripod would be so stable. I have to use that more often now so I can really test it Guaiabero5Dmk3 + 500mm f/4 ; f/5 ; ISO 250 ; 1/800 ; Manfrotto Gimbal head and tripod Coppersmith Barbet5Dmk3 + 500mm f/4 ; f/6.3 ; ISO 125 ; 1/200 ; Manfrotto Gimbal head and tripod White-breasted Wood-Swallows (a nest building pair. I had so much fun watching this pair taking turns at building that nest)5Dmk3 + 500mm f/4 ; f/6.3 ; ISO 200 ; 1/800 ; Manfrotto Gimbal head and tripod Guaiabero (these 2 birds were playing under the canopy for a long time till another guaiabero, a very persistent BULLY, nipped at both birds till they flew away)5Dmk3 + 500mm f/4 ; f/6.3 ; ISO 200 ; 1/250 ; Manfrotto Gimbal head and tripod Please ckick HERE to see the rest of the gallery

Wow! what a harvest, Plain Idol Tina! awesome captures as always. Looks like the two Guaiaberos are fledglings and the one that bullied them is one of the parents.

Thank you Mela, Dennis, Neon and Ely :-)
Mela : I miss YOU and birding at VE. I should really visit you soon.
Dennis : You are so right. The Wency tripod is truly priceless and one of a kind. Lucky me !!!! WoooHoooo
Neon : You might just be right about that. I was able yo take a video of the whole incident. Still need to make a movie out of it ;-)
Ely : Yes, I had a really great time taking photos and videos inspite of the very hot weather. That's the nice thing about enjoying bird photography. You forget about all the unpleasant things and notice it only at the end of the day - HAhAHAhAHahAHa.

Thank you so much for the kind words Sylvia, Mick, Ate Lyds, Tateo and William. I really appreciate it. Sylvs, all the camachille trees and a few other trees were fruiting when we were there. The birds kept going back from one tree to the other. Lucky lucky break for us

Super gorgeous shots! I particularly love the Blue-naped Parrot!
I too, sometimes, use my "Cynthia-tripod". And vice-versa, too. ;D
