When birding gets boring in Subic, you can always count on the Blue-throated Bee-eaters to keep you entertained. First photo is a bee-eater looking for a fight. He got one. He will be on the right side in the succeeding photos (white markings on right wing). Last five photos were taken a day earlier. Equipment used: 1DMK4 500mm (car window/bean bag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso1000 500mm f/6.3 1/1250sec (manual exposure/beanbag) iso2000 500mm f/7.1 1/1600sec (manual exposure) iso1000 500mm f/5.6 1/3200sec (manual exposure) iso2000 500mm f/7.1 1/1600sec (manual exposure) iso2000 500m f/7.1 1/1000sec (manual exposure) iso2000 500mm f/7.1 1/1600sec (manual exposure)

Very nice exposure settings. The sun is usually harsh on the area. Was it cloudy that day? Well done Mike & Mabuhay.

I'll have to agree with Tita Tina. Great captures man! Good job in catching the Bee-Eater's wing spread. Best action shots of the Bee-Eater I have seen so far. Clap Clap Clap!

Great set Mike! The light and the poses came out very well! I really like the one where the Bee-eater is about to land on the perch. And the shot before that, top-view in flight! Super set.
