In just few months here in Bacolod, I was able to document some of Negros rare migrants this year. Caspian Tern were sighted in two wetlands in Southern Negros while the Black-tailed Godwit were recorded in 3 sites. This probably the highest population count of Black-tailed Godwit in the country were we counted up to 4 thousand++ or more if we were able to cover 100% on all the wetlands we visited. The Forest Wagtail is a lifer for me. This was taken in Patag Nursery, Silay City during Evidence-Based Biodiversity Monitoring training with Bantay Bukid Brigade. Caspian Tern (Hydroprogne caspia) F8.0 1/200 ISO 100 EF 100-400 @400mm Aperture-priority Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) F5.6 1/60 ISO 800 EF 100-400 @400mm Manual Exposure Forest Wagtail (Dendronanthus indicus) F5.6 1/20 ISO 400 EF 100-400 @380mm Manual Exposure
