My 1 week Bicol sortie Guaiabero (Male) Bolbopsittacus lunulatus 400D + EF100-400mm L IS USM 1/350s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso200 handheld Guaiabero (Female) Asian Glossy Starling (Immature) Asian Glossy Starling (Adult) I am not sure about this, it could be a Chesnut-cheeked Starling Mangrove Blue Flycatcher Cyornis rufigastra Location: Calananay Island Eastern Reef Egret Location: Parola Island An Arctic Wabler? (not sure about this) The elusive Blue Headed Fantail (still no luck getting a decent shot) White Collared Kingfisher Lowland White eye and could be the last glimpse of Brown Shrike Thank you for viewing

Congratulations Nestor for the big harvest of birds during your 1 week sortie in Bicol and for the many beautiful shots captured. Looks like you got really near to some of those birds - no wonder you were so quiet. You were so busy shooting pala The boys (Manny, JP and Martin) missed you a lot coz whenever we'd go on a birding sortie they would always remember you. Ehemmmm, ehemmmm did you remember to bring our pasalubong ? HEhHEheHEHehHEHehE just kidding ;D

Yes, all the ID's look right to me, including the Arctic - usually separable from the other Phyllosc by having a sort of greyish, or greyish-white breast and belly and having a crissum with no yellow (crissum = vent + undertail coverts).
Chestnut-cheeked Starling is right.

I like the Lowland white-eye with the coconuts. A good scale to use for size.
