Great shot ... Olango seems a great place for birding. Olango is a great place to bird especially next month because almost all the birds are in breeding plumage.

You got a beauty in this Chinese Dancer. Well done Boymac & Mabuhay. Thanks Ely. Chinese Egret has a obscure move in catching their prey. Nice watching them and catching their act

Nilo .. the light was perfect for white plumage exposure . Cloudy and light drizzle. Not easy to burn the " white " , which is not the case in Olango.

Yesterday I witnessed a group of eight Chinese Egrets displaying. They formed a perfect circle then started dancing and head bowing. The whole time thir "egrets" were outspread. This was in the exact area where your hide was set up. They were all in peak display plumage, yellow bill with orange- red base, cobalt or powder blue around the eyes, black legs with bright orange yellow soles of feet. The same area also held 2 flocks of Asiatic Dowitchers, one of 15 and one of 8, including bright red adult males. Wish you all had been here to photograph these spectacles. Steve

Hopefully they will still be around, though I suspect they are getting itchy feet now.
