When I saw a bright orange ball about 50 meters away I did not know what it was until Ryan of Magsaysay Park told me it was the Scarlet Minivet. What a beautiful pair of birds. Well done Neil & Mabuhay.

Wish I were as lucky as you Neil. I'd be in 7th heaven if I were given a chance to photograph these birds this close. I saw a pair in Palawan ages ago but it was oh so far and looked like tiny orange dots in my camera's LCD screen.
On the third photo, the bird even looked at you ... nice one !!! Happy for you :-)

Nice shots Neil. I hope to capture these Scarlet Minivets on March 19-20 when I plan to go to your place. Would be a lifer for me. Did you see them in the early morning only?
